About Us
Ivan’s Island started with a dream. Ivan built 3 tiny houses with the help of his partner, Julia, and other friends and family. Ivan and Julia daydreamed of a the perfect spot to land their tiny homes on a lake where they could dive into the water and friends and family could gather. They sold one of the tiny houses and began their search. When they walked the property that is now Ivan’s Island, they knew this was the place!
Since the moment they purchased the land in 2022, they have worked hard to build what you see today and the work hasn’t stopped to this day. They made sure to work with nature and place structures in existing openings to preserve trees, land and wildlife areas. And now you can explore and stay at Ivan’s Island, a unique lake getaway nestled on a stunning 5-acre peninsula on Sokokis Lake in Maine. No matter your choice of Tiny house, Glamping or Camping, you can wake up to lake views, spend your days kayaking, swimming or fishing or simply unwind by your private fire pit under the stars. With deep and shallow water access all around, you’ll feel immersed in nature and still close to the local ice cream and donut shops.

WHAT A GEM!!! If you are looking for peace and privacy in an amazing setting, with a sweet and well appointed tiny house, this is it! Star gazing all night through the clear ceiling, hanging out on the dock watching the lake, sitting on the porch reading and looking at the water sparkle, listening to loons (!!!), and some great trails to walk and bike. The kitchen was quite complete, and the local grocer was a walkable distance. The shower was FANTASTIC … I will DEFINITELY be back! Julie was great and very responsive – her attention to detail makes this an extraordinary place to stay.

This is one of the most thoughtful cabins I’d ever stayed at. Every little detail inside was created with great care. My partner and I felt like we were vacationing in a piece of art. The location next to the lake was amazing and just what we needed. Julia was a great host, she communicated prominently and helped with any questions right away! We can’t wait to come back 🙂

We had an amazing time at the Fish Bowl. It’s in a convenient location while still being totally private and serene. The tiny house is comfortable and has everything you need, and we LOVED sleeping under the skylight and watching the sky. Between swimming in the lake, reading under the trees, or grilling up dinner there is plenty to do. It’s a little gem!
